There were many incarnations of the Trident driver, since everyone
kept sending me patches to it to make it "work".  I have no idea how
many different drivers are needed to satisfy all the Trident users out
there.  Since Trident cards don't support the standard access modes
like all the other cards, I haven't worried about it much (which I can
get away with because I distribute sources).  The originals were done
from a book on the Trident chip, and I rely on others to test
non-ET4000 drivers.
