Ok. To get something rolling, I suggest I commit something and let it
take it's course. Anyone opposed?

What?
<ftp://ftp.delorie.com/pub/djgpp/contrib/kbwilliams-newlongs_dt00.zip>?

N.B.: If there's no complaints something will be commited soon (when
I've figured out what to commit). We are living in a dangerous time,
but perhaps New Year's sobriety is over when it's time to commit?

Right,
