Ok.  So I replace all restrict with __restrict__ and change the
version entry to 

+#if __GNUC__ < 3 || __GNUC__ == 3 && __GNUC_MINOR__ < what!!!!
#define __restrict__
else
#define __restrict__ restrict
#endif
