I don't know. I don't have any of these OSes.

Doesn't the SFT exist on Windows NT/2k/XP? If not, then I guess it should
ignore this error and carry on (on those platforms).

If anyone has time to run the (patched) test program 'tfcntl' on platforms
other than Win98 SE (what my computer runs), I'd be grateful.
