If you have access to a Windows 2000 or XP or just want to know what is
happening with the DJGPP compiler and Windows 2000/XP then please read the
rest of this email.

The unofficial DJGPP Windows 2000 / XP site url is
http://clio.rice.edu/djgpp/win2k/main.htm (a full status report is available
online for the 2.04 code and is updated on a ad-hoc basis). The main html
page then has two options, the 2.03 refresh page or the 2.04 wip page.

The following is the main change in 2.04 that are included since the last
eport:
     1) Includes CVS LIBC changes up to 3-Feb-2002
     2) Updated GCC 3.03 to use updated sources from end of Janurary.
     3) GDB 5.1.1 is now available.
     4) Bison 1.3.2 now available
     5) Gzip 1.3.2 alpha now available
     6) Grep 2.5g beta now available

Please note that Grep 2.5g binary files were built from GNU source directly.
You currently need ANSI.SYS for color support. I just spotted a the doc zip
is only 636 bytes long and I need to look at why the docs were not built.

If you are not aware of what is available at the the unofficial DJGPP
Windows 2000 / XP site please read then following blurb:

The site contains allot of info which is designed to help developers get the
DJGPP compiler and associated packages working on Windows 2000 and XP as
quickly as possible so that they can help the out. The site also contains a
number of work in progress binary files for use on Windows 2000 and XP (and
Win 9x).

The info and files at the site allow DJGPP developers and users to get the
DJGPP compiler working under Windows 2000 and XP very quickly, it still
requires you to download the packages from Simtel. The site is accessible
from DJ's site by clicking on the "Current DJGPP status vs Windows 2000 / XP
(unofficial)" link under the Introduction section.

 Regards,
Andrew
