Very.  I certainly don't see this on Windows 2000.  My Win XP system
is on a disk in a box (the computer is booted into Windows 2000
now) and I would have to drive to work and physically swap disks.
So I don't plan to do any XP testing for another couple of weeks.

Some sort of undelete protection feature?  A waste basket?  Sigh.
Hopefully there is some way to turn such insane behavior off ...
