That's why I tried the GCC build with 2.05 and found the new problem :-(

In any case, this machine is a clean Win2K install so has a short path.
A 266 Mhz box with 144Mb memory running XP builds significantly slower than 
the 200Mhz Win2K with 96Mb memory box - so I'm finished testing XP for now.

I did a quick compare for features/clashes with the 2.03 libc update.  Only 
dosexec's patches would be missed, and the selector recovery feature is
done elsewhere and the dosexec call to set the PSP isn't probably strictly
required (it will get done on exit).  So I think bash 2.04 built with 
the 2.03 refresh is what I will use for now.

At this point you know a lot more about 2.05 than I do so I'll let you
run with that one.

I don't know if the refresh changed this - I'll look in old emails to see
if I can do a quick test.
