It's IMHO a good idea to wait for a while before sending the patches
upstream, but please don't wait for too long, since the package
development might render you changes obsolete or inapplicable.

I will take a look when I have time, but please don't let this stop
you from submitting the changes when you think they are tested well
enough.  My free time is severely limited lately, and it looks like
it will be more limited in the near future.  DJGPP development
shouldn't stop because of that.
