Tim,

Sorry if I confuse you, but what you like with depnds on what you want to
test on.... In simple terms the following should be correct:
    a) 2.03 - DOS / Win 9x
    b) 2.03 + Charles WIn 2K/XP patches - DOS / Win 9x / Win 2K / Win XP
    b) 2.04 - DOS / Win 9x / Win 2K / Win XP

Due to issues with Bash I have NOT updated Perl to 5.6.1 . If you are using
XP then there are two choices to link against as follows
    1) 2.03 + Win 2K/XP patches as proiduces by charles
    2) 2.04 CVS head

The files that are available from the clio site have been built with CVS
head, so if you want to keep it "comaptible" (symlink issues etc) with these
files then you will need to link against the CVS head. If on the other hand
you rebuild all of the packages against the 2.03 + patches then you should
link against the 2.03 + patches LIBC.

If you want to produce an upgrade for the exisitng Perl available from
Simntel then you will need to lik agaisnt the stock standard 2.03 which may
not work under Win 2K/XP due to issues with 2.03 LIBC on Win 2K/XP.

Hope this helps.

Andrew
