The Sept 30 update has the new dos.h and crt1.c

I'm working out of a cvs tree - since the tar.gz is only updated
once a week it didn't have what I commited on last Monday.
Let me try to fix the problem with the cvs tree built versions.

Thanks for the test.  At least you have a "safe" rm now, and
I have a new Windows 2000 mystery...
