Now when I had a nice big file on my FAT32 partition, I did ls on it
and behold:

-bash-2.03$ t:/hmm/bin/ls --version
ls (GNU fileutils) 4.0
-bash-2.03$ t:/hmm/bin/ls -la f:/ggg.hmm
-rw-r--r-- 1 dosuser root 18446744072414584321 Jul 11 10:57 f:/ggg.hmm
-bash-2.03$ command.com /c dir f:\\ggg.hmm

Volume in drive F is APPS
 Volume Serial Number is 1DEE-1B15
 Directory of F:\

GGG HMM 3 000 000 001 01-07-11 10.57 ggg.hmm
         1 file(s) 3 000 000 001 bytes
         0 dir(s) 1 440.86 MB free
-bash-2.03$

Somehting is wrong somewhere. If it rains tomorrow I might look into
it, but the forecast is good.

Right,
