the #undef came from  the fact, that I had curses installed and so
the configure probably failed to determine wctype.h. Then I removed
curses then the configure script found wctype.h and then I found the
bug in wctype.h which is now fixed.

Probably I saw them, but since I built gdb the last time so often on a
day, I overlooked most of the warnings, since I was glad to have a
working gdb.
