I don't really know, but it looks like it will be soon.  The last
pretest generated only a few minor bug reports, so I guess it's a
question of when the maintainer will have free time to make the
release.

Not from me.  I have a firm belief that beyond a certain level of
complexity (which IMHO the current spec has long surpassed) you need
to start throwing together some code before adding more hypothetical
features.
