I still having a special section in my link configuration with a very well 
aligned section to put critical code. I determined the best aligment using a 
Cyrix 5x86 processor, it uses a 128 bits data path inside the CPU.
One interesting thing: Anybody looked inside a binary generated by Visual C++ 
(the one that generates fastes code currently). When I saw the binaries I got 
amazed about the huge number of NOP introduced.
