Ok. It seems WINDOZE have problems with RAMDRIVEs bigger than 9627 kb.

This is the configuration of RAMDRIVE.SYS I'm using now in my CONFIG.SYS:
devicehigh=c:\windows\ramdrive.sys 9627 512 512 /e

Noting that 4096 kb was working and 16384 kb not, I did a binary search
and reboot sequence and arrived at 9627 kb, which using the line above
is the biggest RAMDRIVE that MS-RAMDRIVE can handle with LFN on my system.

For the record this is what Control Panel -> System -> General says:
"System:
 	Microsoft Windows 98
 	4.10.1998"
