It's i[3456]86 but *I* have a flock of i586's, so that's what I use :-) However, the -pc-msdosdjgpp part IS critical; it seems to be the only one that builds a gcc and binutils that work together. I used to use i386, because that's the lowest supported platform, but I think it's time to use something more mainstream and power-sounding.
