As originally posted by Jan Kubicka some time ago, you can safely change
"d" to "dN" in the inport*/outport* macros in include/inlines/pc.h.
It allows for slightly better code generation.
I've been using it in code that depends upon this feature for at least
two months with no problems at all.
The feature IS documented in the gnu compiler's info.
