The conflict is between the gcc version of stddef and our version
of stdio.h.  Both want to do a typedef for size_t.  According to
K&R 2nd edition p. 135

(strictly, sizeof produces an unsigned integer value whose type, size_t, is
defined in the header <stddef.h>)



So perhaps its our stdio which needs fixing.
