If you disagree with what I said, please say so.  Don't just punt
because I've said it.  I have said some pretty dumb things in my
life, and I cannot be sure this isn't one of them.

Right, but <sys/time.h> includes <time.h>, so including <sys/time.h>
will also fetch the prototype of `gettimeofday'.
