What is the best way to install Cygwin CVS? So far I have only needed to replace cygwin1.dll. Now I would like to test Rob's pthread stuff which requires new headers, libraries, etc too. I naively thought that that I could create a tar.gz installable by setup.exe using the following: $ cd i686-pc-cygwin/winsup $ make prefix=/tmp/cygwin/usr install $ cd /tmp/cygwin $ tar -cvzf cygwin-20010321.tar.gz usr Unfortunately, this archive contains more stuff than what is in a snapshot. Obviously, I can prune before creating the archive, but I am looking for a more automated way. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
