I'm pretty sure that the zlib code is doing the right thing.

It's in CVS winsup/cinstall.  I think the problem is due to the fact
that zlib was compiled by cd'ing to the directory, as I mentioned in
another thread.  Compiling it from the winsup/cinstall directory should
rectify the problem.
