Yeah, I've never been that intrigued by the //drive syntax, especially since
it contradicts the UNC stuff (although I suppose it could be that I started
on UNIX so I don't like these drive letters too!;-)).  I still vote (if we 
are!;-)) to ditch this syntax.  If we need to support drive letters for
more windows-oriented purists, I think putting the drives somewhere (maybe
as DJ suggested) is a good compromise.
