Is the mixed case patch really read for wide distribution (although it's
possible that there are more people using coolview than "raw" B19.1)?
Do you have it working 100% on everything like link, rename, chdir?

I still think that this should be a mount option rather than (or in
addition to) an CYGWIN32 option.

Who is using this functionality?  Do you actually have coolview users
who absolutely have to have this?  Personally, I'd use it if I was
convinced that it was 100% solid, but...

How about creating the patch #ifdef'ed ALLOW_MIXED_CASE ?  We could
include the code (assuming Geoff and Eric agree) while we debate the
"proper" implementation but you could continue to turn it on in
coolview.
