Details?  Which makefile?  How is it complaining?

I need to be able to reproduce the problem.  When you said "your in-house
makefiles" did you mistakenly mean your own in-house makefile.  If so could
you e-mail me the makefile or enough of it and other sources to reproduce
the bug.
