Does this mean, that the things, Charles told about, are not relevant ?
>From my perspective of porting kde, I only want, that this package is available,
whatever way is possible, because otherwise kde couldn't be integrated in the
cygwin
distribution way :-/.
Implementing ipc in cygwin, I think, is a longer way, so in the meantime adding
the cygipc package as is seems to be the best way.

So my question is, it is possible to add the cygipc package to cygwin or not ?

Another topic in this context is: kde2 needs a resolver lib and has ipv6
support.
For the resolver lib I am using the bindlib_w32 from the University of
Californa, downloaded from ... i have forgotten ... It seems to work with cygwin
(a kde2 test app say this) except the ipv6 support. (As I remember right, I have
seen a message in the cygwin mailing list about a patch for this.)
So the question for me is, should the resolver lib be a part of cygwin(.dll) or
as own package ?
