It's even worse. I can compile a full gcc/binutils/newlib/winsup
tree as a cross build and the resulting cygwin DLL works.

After doing a `make install' and using the now installed gcc/binutils
to build the identical newlib/winsup tree, the resulting cygwin DLL
crashes on startup.

I - don't - understand - what's - going - on - !
