Awk is an interpreter for a language which is meant to be used for
processing record-oriented text files.  The language is quite flexible
and powerful, and allows to write programs that perform complex 
processing in just a few lines.

Version 3.0.4 is a bugfix release; there are no new features.  See the
file NEWS for the full list of fixed bugs.
