i do not know anything about pmode stuff but this sounds more like the
file was corrupted.
however, if that is not the case, did you try running strip on your
executable before adding the pmode stub?
you can find strip in your djgpp\bin directory. read the info docs on
how to use it.
finally, if it is acceptable, your program will run in a dos window in
windows without cwsdpmi.
