is there a way to ensure that a block of memory is aligned to a 256k boundary? i just need to ensure that the bottom 18 bits of the address are 0 you see. i could choose an array 256k bigger than i need and that would ensure that i could align it in this way, but then i've wasted up to 256k which seems a bit futile. any suggestions? nik -- Graham Tootell GameBoutique Ltd. - THE online gaming experience nikki AT gameboutique DOT com http://www.gameboutique.com
