Roland, AHH! Found it! Yesterday, I copied my gafrc file to my home directory to attach it to a previous email message to this forum and I forgot about it. So, there is one other place gschem looks for a gafrc file - in the home directory. That must be some deprecated, no longer documented, location. I discovered it from your comment above about looking at the Status window to see what's getting processed. I was surprised when I saw it processing ~/gafrc as well as ~/.gEDA/gafrc and then I knew what was wrong. I removed the ~/gafrc file, restored my directory declarations in ~/.gEDA/gafrc and now gnetlist is working and gschem is not complaining about duplicates. All is well again. Thanks for your prompt reply and your help to a solution. Girvin
