Along with a few other features and fixes, the most notable improvements are the three new features that received the most votes on the feature poll, including embedded scripting (in multiple languages). For details, please refer to the release notes and the changelog. Project page: http://repo.hu/projects/pcb-rnd/ Source release tarballs: http://repo.hu/projects/pcb-rnd/releases/ Plans, back annotation ====================== By now, pcb-rnd implements almost all the features I ever wanted. The most notable exception is back annotation. While I'm knee deep in the code, I decided to give it a try and implement at least the pcb-rnd side of back annotation. How the gschem side would be implemented I am not sure. I'm also looking for volunteers for the gschem part, as I'm not good in guile). My plan is to start working on the back annotation and roll the next release when I have something working. Due to lack of interest, I will probably stop supporting the binary tarball installation. I will also cut back on answering the "FAQ" material threads on the list about why I have a fork, why I don't strive to get it merged, preferred programming languages and file formats, VCS flamewars, etc, to free up more time for hacking the code. Release notes ============== Version 1.0.3 is a major feature release with the following highlights: - embedded GPMI scripting - adjust object sizes to current routing style - static footprint tags: display tags and search by tag on the gtk HID - dynamic UI menus and actions (for the scripts) - new parametric footprints: qfp(), qfn(), plcc(), qsop(), bga() - better regex and stringlist based search-by-name Regards, Igor2
