The reset menus command is in the code but it seems to need a linkage command that calls the low level command from the gschemrc file. same on laptop and its sort of a substitute for UI failures and slowness to=
need all that extra space.

It's not an either or thing.=C2=A0 We can have both, and that's mos= tly true for any
new feature since we are such a cat herd, or non-herd of individuals.
New features need to be configurable to leave off, or connect to key-bindin= gs
or various menus.=C2=A0 Upgrades should not force change on users that have=
config files set.=C2=A0 =C2=A0Probably even to the point that if there is a= new feature
and the config file does not set it up, leave it inactive.=C2=A0 Only notif= y users
of existence rather than enabling new features.

Sounds odd, bu that would match current set of users.

One of the prob= lems in the current code is that the menus are defined in the system-gschem= rc file but there is no command that will reset the menus back to their zer= o state. If there was then if you didn't like the out of box defaults t= hen you could copy the gschemrc file locally and do it your way.

The reset menus command is in the code but it= seems to need a linkage command that calls the low level command from the = gschemrc file.
