Of course, the build failed, but I was interested in some of the new features, so I wanted to use the new version. I wrote a thread about it and it was decided to release 1.10.1 (or .2?) so it would build with gtk2. It did and all was well again. However, this Slackware64 15.0 I am now using has both gtk2 +, so the issue is now moot for me. Actually, I just verified that and if anyone is interested, this Slackware64 15.0 has gtk 1.2.10, gtk2 2.24.33, gtk3 3.24.31, and gtk4 4.4.1. So, I think I am covered. There was some discussion about adding a build switch to force the gtk version, but I don't know how that came out. To me, it still sounds like a good thing to do. BTW: Just for the record, I, like many others, would be sad to see gEDA go. I may not be creating many new products with it any more, but I still use it now and then for maintenance. I once used gschem to draw mechanical drawings too, but since I found the QCAD Community Edition, I switched to the better tool for that. I hope gEDA continues to live on. It is a great electronic development tool as far as I am concerned. Girvin Herr
