IMO, maintaining a repository on a specially designed platform for this is much easier than supporting a site on a private server with steadily decreasing amount of people who would like to administrate it. OTOH, there are people who hate the sites like GH (e.g. I do :-)). > I can have it a few years, as long as I can afford the site, but after > that someone else have to take care of it if there would be any > interest. Considering the low mail volume on this list nowadays, there > is probably no interest. There is Bert's repository on GH: - https://github.com/geda-pcb-developers I know, Karl, you won't work with GH. However you could support Bert's efforts by sending patches to him. I myself like PCB as I spent much time on it some time in the past, and there are parts in Lepton that are dedicated for it. However there are reasons why I still cannot help much. The program has to be ported to GTK3 or GTK4. Otherwise it will be thrown out from main Linux distributions. It's a lot of work, and I would need much more free time to spent to deal with the task, while I'm still digging up in 25-years old lepton code trying to do any progress. Maintaining the 8 years old lepton fork has shown me that there are still lots of people silently waiting for somebody to continue the effort, and sometimes they even help :-) Regards, Vladimir
