I still rebuild my pcb version using it from time to time. My memory fades somewhat, but being unable to migrate to later gEDA versions due to dependencies on guile versions that proved difficult to cross compile does seem familiar. I had hoped the guile build issues might have been resolved upstream in the mean time, but I guess not. The Windows Linux Subsystem is not available in many cooperate settings. My IT department thinks Windows Updates are bad and installs very few of th= em.
So my Windows 10 box is hopelessly outdated at work and WSL doesn't wor= k right.

Leaving me with mysys2 or cygwin. :-(
