Hello!

I just updated geda-gaf-git package on arch linux and noticed some bugs.= Or my system is badly configured but I can't tell the difference.

The build function is:

build ()
{
  cd "${srcdir}/${_gitname}"

  ./autogen.sh
  ./configure --prefix=3D/usr --disable-update-xdg-database

  make
}

First gnetlist2 wants to use /usr/bin/python while being ancient dialect= it can't. Right environment is /usr/bin/python2. Maybe configure should pu= t the first line right so that distributions don't need to use sed to fix e= very binary. maybe env python2 would be even better.

I edited that to get gnetlist running

gnetlist -g spice-sdb sim.sch -o sim.net

Using SPICE backend by SDB -- Version of 4.28.2007
schematic-type =3D normal schematic
Backtrace:

ERROR: In procedure string-join: Wrong type argument in position 1: #f
error: running the Guile backend failed

The offending line is

(display (string-append "* " (gnetlist:get-command-line)= "\n"))

As I'm not a scheme expert, I tried xorn with bad luck also.

xorn netlist -o sim.net -g spice-sdb sim.sch
sim.sch:2: error: symbol "vac-1.sym" not found in library
ERROR: Failed to load 'sim.sch':

<rant>

After that I tried login Launchpad to notice only horrible Ubuntu force-= feeding. All I wanted to do was to file some bugs.

</rant>

Best regards,

Hannu Vuolasaho
