Replying to a random email in the thread.

We need to stop this thread *now*!


There have been over 50 emails with ZERO new information in this
thread in three days. That is not useful and not a good use of our
time.


This thread and previous discussion on this topic has produced
a significant amount of valuable design discussion - which is great!

I'm really excited to see all those good contributions by everyone -
and I do mean everyone.

But there have been no new contributions for some time. So now we
must stop talking about this subject.

In the spirit of Peter's positive thread and stating actions, I will
start working on an API.

I hope to receive your input as it evolves.

There will be input which is just noise, because not everyone will
see where I am going with the API right away, and I will not be
documenting that up front, because I don't have time for that, and
because it will likely change during the process and that is all
right.

I will attempt to bring something for discussion at FOSDEM. Maybe I
will have nothing significant, maybe I will find time to do something
more substantial.

Until I or someone else presents something concrete we have nothing
more to debate.
