The problem with this is that such an approach requires an updated Binutils distro each time something needs to be changed in the linker script. That's actually another reason for having the script in djdev, even though GCC comes with its version: you can use it as a kind of ``backup plan'' in case the one that comes with GCC causes trouble or is not up to date.
