This is an old discussion.  To rehash without bringing the whole
thread back, I prefer that packages build without installing lots of
other things first (I hate having to do that, and *I* don't have bash
installed either) but if you're the one doing the port and that's the
only way you'd have the time or inclination to port it, go right
ahead.  The only rule is that it can only require official DJGPP
distribution packages (i.e. the bash on Simtel.Net, not some locally
modified version).
