The name (UG, KB or FAQ) isn't what bugs me. My notion of the UG is probably totally different from yours, because I'm afraid the FAQ will have to be rewritten from scratch to make a good UG. The current FAQ is made of relatively short and very loosely coupled notes. Making it a coherent guide is IMHO as hard as writing a guide from scratch. But maybe I just don't think clearly enough. Could anybody mention examples of good user guides for software packages (even commercial) that I could then look up and see if I'm not haunted by the shadow of a dwarf? Thanks.
