I guess this is why I stick (mostly) to Unix programming. The Forms
Library for X (http://laue.phys.uwm.edu/xforms/) does for X what you say
ObjectWindows does for Windoze. I think ten lines is too much :)  and all
the usual widgets (up to a directory/file browser) are just a function
call away.. and of course the preemptive OS saves a LOT of grief with
WinMain() and relinquishing control of the thread and stuff like that..
