  I'm willing to give OpenDOS a chance (since it'd be nice to multitask
  sans Windows), but it really sucks that I can't get gcc to run without
  emm386 complaining.  Is anyone else having this problem?  Task Manager
  doesn't get along with my 132x43 text mode, either.  

  Gene:  Is it ok to let 4dos be the primary shel?

  At any rate, I hope gcc will be able to run w/ OpenDOS in the near
  future.
