Cygwin/X now shows up on my new Windows 11 laptop, as it did on my older one, with the saved session bringing up three xterm windows and all. Giving me a richer experience and enabling me to work more efficiently than when I had to start mintty sessions from the Window task bar. Thanks, anyway, for your help, Jon.
