I tried to create a manifest file (like http://bugs.gobolinux.org/view.php?id=381) to have tar request admin access, but no luck. Any suggestions? bash-3.2$ tar xf /cygdrive/c/Users/root/Desktop/eclipse.tar tar: eclipse/configuration/org.eclipse.osgi/bundles/1195/1/.cp/javascript/common.js: Cannot open: Permission denied tar: eclipse/configuration/org.eclipse.osgi/bundles/1241/1/.cp/os/win32/x86/update.dl l: Cannot open: Permission denied tar: eclipse/configuration/org.eclipse.osgi/bundles/1415/1/.cp/META-INF/eclipse.inf: Cannot open: Permission denied tar: eclipse/configuration/org.eclipse.osgi/bundles/1484/1/.cp/META-INF/eclipse.inf: Cannot open: Permission denied -- -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- - - - Jason Pyeron PD Inc. http://www.pdinc.us - - Principal Consultant 10 West 24th Street #100 - - +1 (443) 269-1555 x333 Baltimore, Maryland 21218 - - - -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- This message is copyright PD Inc, subject to license 20080407P00. -- Problem reports: http://cygwin.com/problems.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/ Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple
