Thanks Rance and Peter for your replies. I did not know about setup-legacy.exe, so when I downloaded this and ran it it did exactly what I needed it to. I have now added those packages to my permanent archive, so this shouldn't be a problem again. Now I have a test server running Cygwin 1.5, it's time to test the upgrade path to Cygwin 1.7 and compatibility with the rest of my environment (which for interest we use to build and test FPGAs...)
