I tested it with _MB_CAPABLE defined and with _MB_CAPABLE undefined. Both variations worked as expected, the latter using the old newlib implementation using iswprint/iswcntrl. Patch applied. I have adding the CJK variation on my todo list for when I'm back from vacation.
