Long story... But I deleted the previous cygwin installation because of the same problem, as above. I installed back most of the packages that I previously had and I am having the same problem: after running rsync with this command, jic 15:58:01-> rsync -ru --exclude '*~' jicman AT camello:*.txt ./ Password: jic 16:02:44-> the cursor does not move and anything typed does not get displayed in the DOS Cygwin bash terminal. However, whatever I type it is being passed to the DOS bash because if I hit enter, the command gets executed. Any idea what is going on? thanks for the help. josé -- Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple Problem reports: http://cygwin.com/problems.html Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/
