It's impossible to me to keep the password into the batch file, > unfortunately. Not knowing much about 'sftp' myself, I took a look at the man page. Here's what it says: -b batchfile Batch mode reads a series of commands from an input batchfile instead of stdin. Since it lacks user interaction it should be used in conjunction with non-interactive authentication. This suggests to me that you want to set up sftp to work with public key authentication.
