Where did the log files indicate there were more than two processes? I
checked ps, there were indeed only two processes before calling the
/bin/rebaseall from ash command line:

C:\Cygwin\bin\ps

PID    PPID    PGID     WINPID  TTY  UID    STIME COMMAND
I    2484       1    2484       2484  con 1000 11:24:31 /usr/bin/ash
     4564       1    4564       4564  con 1000 11:29:04 /usr/bin/ps
