If you're on Windows NT/2000/XP, then just create users as you normally do in that environment (hint: Administrative Tools, or the 'net user' command). No idea how this works in Win9x but you don't say which OS you're using, if you're using 'ntsec' (or not). The Cygwin User Guide contains helpful information you might read: http://cygwin.com/cygwin-ug-net/ntsec.html A follow-up question to me might trip me up for an answer (as I said, I'm a newbie :-)... in which case wait for another person to offer a response. You will improve your chances at getting `good answers', by starting off with `good questions': http://www.tuxedo.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html Best of luck, -S > -----Original Message----- > From: Anthony Ennis [mailto:tonyennis AT yahoo DOT com] > Sent: Wednesday, November 06, 2002 5:27 PM > To: cygwin AT cygwin DOT com > Subject: New User Account > > > Hello there I am a bit frustrated at the moment I want to set > up a new user > account but I cant as linuxconf or it equivalent I cannot > find on my version > of cygwin moreover I cant find the adduser command or anyway > to create user > accounts can you help me!!!! > > > Thanks in advance > > > -- > Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple > Bug reporting: http://cygwin.com/bugs.html > Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html > FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/ > > > -- Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple Bug reporting: http://cygwin.com/bugs.html Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/
